CALLING ALL GIRLS GRADE 3-5

PTO is recruiting an upper elementary girls math team from grades 3-5.


Girls will practice via zoom about 2 hrs/week, and will compete virtually in the Girls Adventures in Math team competition in April.


The competition is disguised as an online game, and girls will need to work together to come up with creative, strategic, outside of the box solutions to succeed.


Girls do NOT need to “be good at math” to participate. Our goal is to give them confidence in their abilities, so they gain confidence to grow.


This experience will encourage girls to stay in math, and show them that they CAN LEARN to be better in math. They'll also learn teamwork, and foster relationships with their team members because they MUST work together in order to solve the problems. And most of all, they'll learn that MATH CAN BE FUN!
